Now this is a 50th...

This thing is amazing!

Restored "close" to original, either way, it's really nice.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=39409

1968 CHEVY C10 COMPLETELY RESTORED TO ORGINAL CONDITION, LIKE THE DAY IT CAME OFF THE LOT IN 67.

I'M THE 3rd FAMILY MEMBER TO OWN THIS TRUCK. IT HAS NEVER BEEN IN THE RAIN SINCE REBUILD. LESS THAN 500 MILES ON TRUCK , ENGINE, & TRANSMISSION. IT NEEDS TO BE IN A COLLECTION. ( IT'S THAT NICE!! )

ENGINE-327 4 BARRELL HOLLY

TRANSMISSION - TURBO HYDRO-MATIC

ALL NUMBERS MATCH, NEW FACTORY AIR, AM/FM RADIO, AND DUAL EXHAUST WAS ADDED.

107,000 MILES ON TRUCK , WHICH IS ORGINAL

ORGINAL TWO-TONE GOLD/WHITE

WE HAVE OVER 30,000.00 INVESTED IN THIS TRUCK, IT WAS TAKING DOWN TO THE FRAME AND DONE RIGHT. TO MUCH TO LIST, SO IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK.

NO RUST IN THIS TRUCK, NO BONDO FILLER, THIS IS A ONE OF A KIND.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Now this is a 50th...

I use to think that was a lot of $$$ ... but ... after I looked at all the $$$ that I have sunk in the Circuit Rider that price is not that bad plus it's a 50TH. JMHO

Re: Now this is a 50th...

Don't think those are '72 doors - only thing I'm not sure about is the screw under the windwing, but they would have had to replace the mechanisms to be '72 doors.

Shows you how much I know. But like I said...not really a bad price if it's a frame off for 50th.

They look like 72 doors. The mechanisms have been swapped i assume.

Tilt wasn't available yet either, but a nice add-on. I think the door panels are 69? Nice truck regardless.

I agree - very nice truck, but it's not very "original", as a lot of guys have pointed out. I also want to say that this is not dogging on the truck; it's just a bunch of guys trying to be accurate about the vehicle. I'd definitely drive it.

Re: Now this is a 50th...

Noticed the seats and door panels aren't the gold/white that they should be. They're supposed to be gold/white right? Anyways, that's one hell of a beautiful truck, I would love to have it.

If I spent that much I'd have put an original AC compressor on it. Still a beautiful truck.

Re: Now this is a 50th...

"Perfect-Original" or not, it is a beauty !!!! I'd sure drive it.

Buy it & keep it up, & 10 years from now, it'll be worth ????? (no doubt way-more $$$).

Spend $ 30 large on a brand new pickup, keep it up, and 10 years from now = $ 3000 (maybe).

Do the "investment" math on that......................

Call me a newbie...but what is the difference on 72 doors? I know they had unique door panels, but the doors are different? School me please. Thank you.

Re: Now this is a 50th...

That screw under the wing window is the key to a 72 door. Only ones like that out of the series.

On the other comments, guess I would have at LEAST done all parchment pieces where appropriate since that's the way it was OEM. It is nice but all those LITTLE details add up to big question marks on how good the base work really is when I see someone make "perfect" claims.

Definitely would drive it myself but not for even $20k. Be interesting to see what it does go for. It's been on my watch list since day 1 of the auction just because of the asking price but variation from OEM.
