late model light switch?

how hard would it be to hook up a later model light switch into my truck? the dial type that comes in the newer trucks. the whole is already there, so there wouldnt be much cutting the the dash to do

jeremy on the newer trucks they have the turn dial style switch rather than the pull style to turn the lights on. I bet it would be easy wiring just hard to mount and look good.

Why do you want to change your light switch? I kow nothing about the newer switches, but the company has a 96 chevy 4x4 i can look at. I personally like the switch in these trucks.

Anyone ever moved the bright switch from the floor to the dash? I would like to install a button next to the light switch knob rather then have it on the floor. I plan to spray in bed liner my floor later and dont want the switch there. Any ideas on this?

Eddie that would be a easy thing to do. Just rewire the switch to a switch on the dash. The floor switch is just a on/off switch

The only reason I ask about it is because I dont know if its a high amp switch or not. I figure its for the headlight so it may be running alot of power through it unless theres a relay. I havent played with wiring of lights too much so I dont know. Im sure I can find a nice button that would work great.
