?s on replacement parts.

I am about to do a frame-off restoration on my 71 chevy truck and I will
be replacing the inner fenders, radiator support and front fenders on this
truck. Do the after market body parts such as those made by goodmark,
tri-plus etc. fit up to the truck as well as the orgininal parts from the
factory? I would appreciate hearing from those of you who have used
replacement parts and if you had any hassle with using them.

I do plan on buying the parts I need from the vendors who are members
of this board and will work with me in getting the best available parts.

Thanks

Don

I used Tri-Plus front fenders bought from GMC Pauls, fit was fantastic! Also used a repro Tri-Plus tailgate...again fit was fantastic! FYI...Goodmark fenders are made by Tri-Plus. Also have a SWB repro Tri-Plus drivers side bedside on this truck...it was a perfect fit! Truck is painted and only this board and I know about the Tri-plus parts.

Sometimes aftermarket parts don't fit as well as original but alot has to do with the person installing the panel. Some people get frustrated and are quick to blame the aftermarket part. Just take your time. Good luck with your truck!
