From what I understand the short tailshaft th350 with a smallblock should be 59" ish center to center of the u-joints.

Re: 1 Pc SWB drive shaft
BUT!....to be sure, measure from the center of the u-joint of the drive axle, to the center of the u-joint, where it should be when the yoke is in the proper position in the tailshaft of the transmission. Do this with weight on the vehicle, not while the rear end is hanging in the air.
The measurement you get is the length you should be looking for. You don't want the movement of the rear axle ass'y to cause the driveshaft to be pulled out of the tailshaft, nor do you want the driveshaft to be too long and have the end of the yoke, ahead of the u-joint, banging into the end of the transmission tailshaft housing.

Re: 1 Pc SWB drive shaft
If you have the trans yoke slide it all the way in the trans and then slide it out 3/4-1" then take the measurement. Like the previous post said make sure it is on its own weight on the ground.

Re: 1 Pc SWB drive shaft
Wherever you have you shaft made should have there own standard form of measurment, some have wanted the distance from the tailshaft seal face to the bottom of the u-joint mount on the diff, others from yoke to yoke. I would just ask the shop what measurment they want. If they know what they are doing they will know where to add or subtract length due to rear end movent etc. etc.
