M49 TurboHydramatic/250 Six
Would a 250 six have come with a Turbo 400 or a Turbo 350 in 1970?
I have a 1968 with a 307/Turbo 400 combination that I know is factory. Just wondering if the 1970 I have has had a transmission changed. SPID shows M49 on both trucks. Can't find any wiring for the kick down solenoid for a Turbo 400 in my 1970, so was wondering it if came with a Turbo 350/250 six and was still coded M49 for both automatics. |

Re: M49 TurboHydramatic/250 Six
I would guess it would have a TH350 behind the 6. M49 was used for both 350 and 400. I think after 1969 "usually" the TH 400 was behind a bigblock or heavier duty applications.
