My Truck Is Finally Coming Home
After 3 long years my 72 short fleet truck is finally coming home from a frame off restoration .I cant wait to put a bunch of miles on it ,should be ready to pick up on saturday . I am ready to celebrate and drive it to North Carolina soon to let the previous owner see and drive it .He really did not want to sell it but he knew he could not afford to save it and I promised him I would make him proud of it again.

Re: My Truck Is Finally Coming Home
Yes I sold the 55 quite a while back ,one of my neighbors bought it so I still get to see it .I bought the 1 ton with some of the cash and added extras to the fleetside truck as well.

I've been kicking the idea of sending mine in for bodywork but I keep reading of some shops that put these old trucks in the background and just do piece-meal work on them when they have free time.

Re: My Truck Is Finally Coming Home
Looking forward to seeing it. My cab has been at the shop for just a few weeks and I am getting anxious to get it back. Can't imagine waiting 3 years.

Re: My Truck Is Finally Coming Home
It is just short of 3 years in the shop ,but it will be worth the wait .I did know going in that they made their living on insurance work and restorations came next .They have done a great job on it and done a lot of things I had not planned on but Im thrilled with .
