My square needs your vote!!
I decided to try the Texaco Car of the Decade online car show. I'm asking for anyone who thinks she's worthy to cast a vote for her. But the only way to vote is you have to register first. This is supposed to keep everything fair so you can't vote more than one time only. The judging panel will use two categories of criteria depending on whether the car is in Original Condition or Modified Condition. Voting started today and will last another 21 days. There are some pretty nice rides in the 1973-85 era, even another squarebody is vying for the top spot. Not sure if anyone knows about this so I thought I would run this by the "family" and maybe generate a few votes. Thanks in advance and we will be patiently awaiting the outcome. If nothing else, wish us luck.

That VW thing is pretty cool (different), will register and vote for you tomorrow.
You are by far the best in the top 6 they show...

Re: My square needs your vote!!
That is one very nice truck. I was wondering how you like the manual/reverse valve body? I see you still have the factory column shifter, has that ever caused you to miss a shift? Im planning on the same valve body set up with my truck and havnt decided on column shift or some sort of ratchet shifter for the floor.
Sorry if this is considered a hi-jack.... I will be registering and voting for your truck, and from what I see, you should have this in the bag!! |

Re: My square needs your vote!!
Thanks Acrophobia. There are some very nice era correct rides in this and some vey nice modifieds also. I hope I at least have a shot at it, but I never take anything for granted. Every vote does count. As for the manual-reverse, I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. I have gotten use to the column shifter so it is just second nature I guess. I have had more than a few people ask where the clutch pedal is when they take a ride and see me shifting all the time.
