Broken Heart
Well I have been wanting to start a build thread for some time, but I guess I will be putting up an obituary for my suburban. Friday while at work, I recieved a phone call from my wife. She told me that my suburban had been hit, and that the police were at the house wanting to talk to me. I leave work early and come home hoping to see a small dent, but fearing the worst. My sub, which was parked in the yard, close to the road, was now 23 feet from where I had parked it. I felt sick. My neighbor's wife's brother's kids had stolen my neighbor's car (recently out of the shop, and without insurance) and decided to go drifting around the neighborhood. The cop estimated that they hit at about 70 mph. Yes 70 MPH! They then left their totalled buick regal, and ran home! My friend Emily chased the two 16 year old girls to their house. They managed to get away but left their bag of dope on the ground next to the car. They were later caught and are now in juvy. Further detail to come.
Before: And after:

Re: Broken Heart
Sorry to hear about the wreck. Looking at those pics about made me sick, so I can only imagine what you are going through. Any chance the parents are going to be able to compensate for anything?
Wishing you the best during this difficult time. Da** kids! Where were the parents, or was it their dope?

Re: Broken Heart
since they were only 17, mom and dad are still responsible. if they choose to not fix it, a good attorney can definitly help, hopefully mom and dad own their house. best of luck and sorry for your loss. keep us posted on how it turns out.
my neighbor hit all 3 of my blazers about a year or so back, totalled one of them but thankfully his insurance covered everything---i got the same phone call at work, it really sucks.

Re: Broken Heart
that seriously sucks.
i hope the parents step up and do the right thing for you, since it can look favorably on their kids' case. be sure to show up @ the court dates!!! juvenile justice is seriously screwed in our country right now (at least it is in Atlanta and in Orlando, i work with delinquents in both places). you'd be amazed at how many kids get off completely b/c the victims never show up to court.

That SO SUCKS! I say Sue 'em - sue 'em all!
Make them court dates too. Then get ahold of Rokcrawlin' to do the repair work! Good luck.
