72 GMC Sierra Grande
Afternoon Folks I've done my roof swap now I have cab lights before I welded up the Pillar I've run my wires down the pillar at the bottom under the dash there's a plate with 3 bolts in it does that plate have to come off to get the wires for the lights Thanks Saddletramp

That plate with 3 holes in it is the side support for the dash. It's welded to the upper and enter dash.
I think there is a round hole in the upper part of it, if not one could be drilled, did u check the assembly manual to see where the wires exit? I removed that wire last year and thought there was a hole in the upper side support area. |

I haven't checked the manual yet I didn't think of that Thanks Did the cab lights work off a togle Switch or was it wired into the headlight switch ? Thanks Saddletramp

It is wired into the headlight switch, it's one of the empty spots at the pointy end of the wiring connector. I don't recal where the lights were grounded.
