School me on air ride
Particularity in the back. I want to lay frame, but have a decent ride height. Whats the best; example, 4 link, bag over axle, trailing arms, bag on arm.
Pictures would help as im new to this. Just doing some research. |

I saw this on Facebook on Rik Hoving's page this morning

I know air ride is all the rage now but I can't imagine trying to drive a truck that "lays frame". Why the hell would I WANT that? Driving diagonally to enter driveways, etc. = too
much a pain in the ass for me. I want my truck lower than stock but not so low it causes me trouble and certainly not with a feature that if it fails I need a forklift to move it!

Thats why i asked the question of what would be the best set up, and get me the most lift so i can drive it at a decent ride height. But when parked at a gas station or show, lay er down.

all the way fits a paint can
 all the way down..paint can on its side  just enough room for a fork lift   check my build page for my set up

Is that a kit you bought for the rear links? I like the height of yours. What clip do you have in the front? Running drop spindles?>

Iv looked at hales' and look pretty similar to yours. I like it, but not sure if id rather have the bag inside the frame? I could fab up and weld everything with the help from a buddy.
I like this one, looks kind of like yours. And is simple. Although id do the shocks different. Looks like that would bind.  I also am leaning on doing the parallel 4 link like scotts hot rod. Mainly because i like how everything is inside the frame rails.
