Stuck shackle bolt help!

68 c30 how do I remove the rear, greasable, shackle bolts?

I've let it soak in pb blaster, used a torch, and a bfh. Won't budge.

Re: Stuck shackle bolt help!

Thin cutting wheel on a mini-grinder between hanger and shackle. It's tight and I have ended up cutting into the hanger a bit, then welded up. I have tried a sawzall with the best blades out there and let me tell you, don't even bother. Those are some hardass bolts!

Re: Stuck shackle bolt help!

Also, if you have a cutting torch setup you can heat the heck out of it and try turning the end of the shackle bolt thats sticking out with a pipe wrench..

Originally to take it out was that one Allen pin and bump it out? Might just have to cut it out and use grade 10 bolts

Re: Stuck shackle bolt help!

I have only heard of grade 2,5 and 8 bolts unless you are talking aircraft grade or something like that, grade 8 is all you need.....do you know how to tell the different grades?
