fuel cell
Whats everyones thought on this fuel cell? Im looking for a rear mount tank with 20 gallons. This one has a sump, but it doesn't have a baffles to keep it from sloshing. I called the MFG and they said the sump would prevent this and baffles aren't common. Has anyone used this type of tank? im running a 5.3 and will install a external fuel pump. thanks for the help.

Re: fuel cell
My aluminium aftermarket tank has vertical baffles, without them not only does the fuel slosh but the sending unit is bouncing around. I thought most racing fuel cells came with a foam like material inside??? I looked at the dents in my old auxillary tank (from a late 60's Chevelle) from backing into logs and road banks and decided to use a metal one.

Re: fuel cell
I have a 16 gal. fuel cell on my S10. It doesn't have foam in it and yes there is some slosh and bounce around with the fuel gauge but only when you hit the Load Pedal. I also have a 5.3 with external pump and it's doing great No problems in 6000 miles.

Re: fuel cell
Looks exactly like the one I used in my build.
Mine is an RCI unit with foam in it. http://www.rciracing.com/ I bought it off e-bay. Kim |
