Junkyard pics

I went to a local salvage yard that only has pre '80 autos and trucks. There are are actually many from the 1950s and 1960s. They even go through the trouble of keeping the same make/model in there own section. Anyways it was in the 30s temperature wise so I got what I needed and took some photos.

The yard is CTCs autoranch just north of Denton, Texas. It is located right off of 1-35 south bound.

Enjoy!

Dan42, I am returning on Friday to get the bench seat. The truck is a 1968 GMC. I thought it was an interesting color combo. I have never seen the seat pattern either. I hope it cleans up well. It is vinyl. I will be taking more photos on Friday and some pictures of SPIDs.

Ehh, there prices can be a little high. The guys that own/ run it are constantly on the phone with orders. They ship anywhere in the US and even international.

I needed a drivers side door latch, mine crapped out on me finally. I got tired of the door swinging open when I made right turns. Anyways they wanted $45.00 but I talked em down to $30.

The owners say they have 3,000 to 4,000 cars and trucks. They get them all over north Texas and Oklahoma. They told me they get many of them free. The owners just want them hauled off. They even have titles for some of the vehicles.

This yard is just up the road from me. I've driven past a bazillion times, but never been inside. These pictures are sweet, though. Happy you shared them.

It is halfway between Denton and Sanger Texas. Denton is north of Dallas and Fort Worth. It is where I-35E and I-35W come together again. Denton is approximately 40 miles north of downtown Dallas.

I know exactly where that is. I grew up in Euless. Then we moved to Waco, and now I live in Kempner. So I am very familiar with that area. Thanks for the pics and info.

There is a mixture of parts. Some of it is relatively rust free. Some of it has the typical rust as you would expect. And then some of the vehicles have been in minor accidents. The good thing about this place is they do not crush anything. They have some autos for parts picken, and some they sell complete.
