For those interested in an LS swap...
Got my new Classic Trucks mag yesterday and couldn't wait to read it...has a whole section in the back about Gen lll motors and how to set them up. Seems they are going to have a series on installing one in a 72. Pretty cool info!
Also got my 'How to rebuild a GM LS series engines' from Amazon. Found out that I was told correctly at the outset. The very first LS motor was in a '97, not a '99. Invaluable info about the history of the Gen lll and lV motors as well as a ton of tech info. I can't wait to get started with this swap! Course it'll probably be awhile, but it's exciting to hear about how reliable these motors are! PS...Classic Trucks and Custom Classic Trucks have a card in the mag...get both for a year for $20!
