Re: This is kinda funny.....

A 350 .030 over is a 355, so maybe if it's bored .30 over, besides cutting through the cylinder walls, it could be a 380.

Does he mean $600?

Re: This is kinda funny.....

I'd be hard pressed to want to give 600 for it as it is but everyone is entitled to his dream I guess. As Harley my Aussie said the last time he sat on a sheet of sandpaper in my truck "ruff".

After looking closer at the photos, I'd swear that was a truck I sold about ten years ago for 300 bucks with no engine.

HEY! You guys are being pretty harsh on this guy.

If you read the full ad, you can see you get the truck and the ten acres it sits on.

And, you get a condo in Manhattan. And, a deed to a bridge that is pretty close to the condo, too.

He must have read all the posts that say shortbeds are worth a lot more. It looks like the Hatfield-McCoy auction is catching up to Barrett-Jackson.

Re: This is kinda funny.....

.030 or .060 are pretty standard sizes to bore out a 350. It translates to making the engine displacement bigger. Example: If the piston rod length is kept the same, a 350 bored .030 would actually be a 355, and one that is bored .060 is actually 360 cubic inches.

Re: This is kinda funny.....

It doesn't have a 3/4 race cam, though, so I'd say it's probably not worth the six grand.......... but if it did, look out!

I wish I lived closer. I would snatch that up and I might even pay him more than asking price. Just gets old buying original rust free parts for a reasonable price out here.

Guess you don't remember when Ed Iskendarian sold his cams that way..3/4 race or full race. Back when all hotrods had flatheads and you were either a race car driver or a candya**!

Re: This is kinda funny.....

Regardless of the price ( way too high) and the engine bore i would love to have the truck, the property would be a great selling point.
