Re: New Pics, Enjoy

I thought you said it was completed, its not complete without at least one 4 post lift in it.

Extremely jealous though, I have to work out of a small garage that can't even fit a lift in it.

1LoC10, the turn signals are a really faded orange color. The pics were taken with my cellphone I forgot to take my digital camera. Sorry about the quality of the pics.

For me I really only like the 68-69 (which of course I'd love to have one) so if you add those to your wantings you can include me in the "along with everyone else in the world" comment.

Re: New Pics, Enjoy

We just built a shop on our farm, 60wx45Lx16H and in the same building is a 60L shed of same height and width. It has a separate bathroom with a boiler for the in-floor heat in the whole shop, a small office attached with a loft over the top and of course a 10,000 LB Bend Pak asymmetric 2 post lift. It is sweet. We are driving 140 miles tomorrow to look at a Set of Craftsman Mechanics tools & box for use in the shop. We have 2 standard car sized doors and a huge door in the middle between the car doors for tractors & other stuff, since we are farmers in Southern MN. It is something my dad has wanted to do for a long time and it was well worth the money. I love your shop, but put in a floor mounted 2 post lift instead of a 4 post. it saves space and it allows full access of all parts including suspension and brakes instead of a 4 post where the car still sits on the suspension

Re: New Pics, Enjoy

Yeah the plan is to put in a two-post lift, a small living quarters(like a room , small kitchen, bath and shower) maybe a bar?? Pool table, 50 inch LCD Flat screen TV and few couches, and also a good sized barbeque grill for those summer parties! We want to have the "ultimate Man Cave" LOL!

Re: New Pics, Enjoy

Cyclone44- the '69 chevy is lowered 4 1/2 inches in the front and in the rear has a 4 inch drop. 2 1/2 drop spindles with a 2inch spring on front, the rear can honestly come down 2 more inches in my opinion to look good. The wheels I just got yesterday they are the new "Ansen Sprint" wheels from AMERICAN RACING. 17x8 with a 4 1/2 backspacing mounted on some P255/50R-17 Hankooks on all four corners. I got them because I felt it gave the truck a '60s-'70s look. Something that appears 'period correct' but also somewhat modern at the same time.

Re: New Pics, Enjoy

Odog- yes the Ls6 still retains its original paint (as with most of our cars) but its badly weathered. Mother nature wasn't too kind on this car since it spent most of its life outdoors, but the good thing is that there is hardly any rust if that.Maybe some lite surface rust just starting.

I am jealeous, some day I will have me a nice place to park my stuff. Someday I will have stuff to park too. Does that 70 Ls6still have the original paint? Its a bad car. Thanks for the pics.

Re: New Pics, Enjoy

That's an awesome shop. You just need a couple lifts in it and it will be good to go. Now if only I could afford a shop like that.
