s10 AD swap wire diagrams
I've been asked a few times if I had any wire diagrams for the s10 swap. When I did my swap I didn't cut any wires. I carefully disconnected everything out of the s10's cab. I had to cut up some of the s10's sheet metal to get all the wiring out in one piece. I crawled under the bed of the s10 and disconnected all the wiring. Once the AD sheet metal was mounted I connected all the s10's wires back. I did however, splice into the s10 gauge cluster. I needed the volts, water temp, oil pressure and fuel. The s10 I used was a 1988 with a 2.8. I've been asked about the 4.3. I didn't use a 4.3 but the diagrams might be close as far as wire colors go. I used www.alldatadiy.com for all my diagrams. They charge around $20 a year. It's vehicle model and year specific. So if your doing a 1996 s10 swap with a 4.3 you will get that years diagrams for that truck and engine. There's a lot of good info there. Here's some of the diagrams I have saved. Feel free to add any diagrams you have.

Re: s10 AD swap wire diagrams
Wow! Thank you very much for posting this information. When finances arent so tight I hope to get started on my 51 and I plan on doing an S-10 frame swap and had some questions about reusing the existing wiring on the frame. It appears that I will be able to use most, if not all, of it. I also plan on putting in a V-8. I am assuming by your post that you used on also. Was it very difficult to make the conversion from the 2.8 to a V-8?
