 JODIE -- THE DOOR LOCK CONTROLS ARE THE SAME ON 70s & 80 VANS & ARE REALLY REALLY COMMON IN THE BONEYARDS. I DON'T MEAN THEY ARE CLOSE & WORK.... I MEAN THEY ARE IDENTICAL. YOU CAN PROBABLY GET ONE AT A JUNKYARD FORT ABOUT 4 OR $5. IF YOU DON'Y HAVE TIME TO GO TO THE BONEYARD SEARCHING FOR ONE, LET ME KNOW & I'LL SHIP YPI ONE FOR THE COST OF POSTAGE. JOHNWAIT... Most door latch mechanism wear out where the center pin holds the gear roller---in John's picture, it is the center of the red area. You can sometimes do a quick spot weld to the pin and the outer piece and it's fixed! You don't even have to remove it. Just a though~~~Huck
