Question Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer ANY GOOD??

I found this throttle body spacer on JC Whitney's site. Was thinking about getting it to put on my '87 TBI 5.7L GMC. Any one know if these things are any good or worthless?? Any drawbacks?
Heres the info from the site:Item 48ZX3956U Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer

you might want to try asking in the 88-98 forum. those motors were only in these trucks for one year, but they were in the other late 80's early 90's trucks so some one ther might know

I have the power aid spacer. It hasn't hurt anything and I didn't test for any MPG gains. The only things I've noticed is a sound change and maybe a tad better upper RPM power. I found it on sale for like $50 so I decided to try it.
