Question Help - May Have Found A 50th

It Looks To Be One, However It Has Been Repainted, It Was To Damn
Muddy To Get Close To It, Raining Cats And Dogs Here, It's A 68 Lwb
3/4 Ton With 8-lug Of Course, I'm Praying The Glovebox Label Is Not
Damaged And Still Readable, What Codes / Numbers Am I Looking For,
The Seat Has Been Recovered / Has A Cover Over It, Any Other Ideas,
And Is This The Only Way To Tell If It Is A 50th, Thanks In Advance.

*Also, Does Anyone Have A Paint Code Sheet For 68's (All Colors)

Why do you think it's a 50th? The most visible sign would be the gold dashpad if the seat has been recovered. Paint code is 551 (I think)

An Anniversary truck would have a trim level of Custom or Cst
The Paint code would be: 551 Off White/Gold
The interior code would be: 625 Parchment/Gold
Both of the numbers listed on the G/B data sheet will usually have a 4 before the code number.
You can check colors codes here:

How rare are the 50th's? I almost positive that there is one in my town that has been sitting on the side of a trash business for years. I went to inquire about it earlier this year but the guy that owns it wasn't working that day, and I didn't pursue it because I went home with a 67 c-20 custom camper that same day. The other employees said that he planned on restoring it but it has just been sitting there. They also said that he had a few other 67-68 models sitting in the yard but I could not see them. I just might go back in the spring.

oops sorry LUV2XCLR8, good luck today. Don't forget to wear your crampons. that mud is probably like jagged rock this morning with the ice and overnight freeze and all. Oh and thanks for the pleasant weather, that crap is heading north to us now.

One year on the board may make you new, but I think the 4000+ post will keep you from using that as a reason to forget what information is needed. (like pics as stated by cpne)

Just my opinion here,,,, but 350 bucks for a c 20 50th seems like a great deal to me. You could get more than that if you had to part it out. If I had the money and wanted it, I'd get it.

And sell those 1/24 th's and your better half should feel better about it !!!! LOL Good Luck !!!!!
