Loud, Rude, and Obnoxious. I need ideas - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I figure I should ask here before I get too far into the project. I need ideas and if someone wants to PS this I would be grateful. this will take me about 5 or 10 years to complete the way I figure it. maybe more, maybe less.

it is a 67 Chevy (may end up GMC, I dunno yet) short step small window
here's what I have so far.
flat black with red scallops on the doors and hood. red stripe on the hood side coming back to include the bed rails.
chrome dish slots and some meaty shoes. 6 or 8" front and 10" rears
some kind of late 60s interior. must have a shoulder high beer tap shifter for the 4 speed (NP A833 overdrive)
68 Caddy 472. that WILL stay in the plans.
side pipes ?

basically this will be an "in your face, what are you gonna do about it?" theme which may end up being labeled Loud, Rude, and Obnoxious. it will most likely end up being my mid-life crisis.
car shows? maybe. mostly just cruise around scaring kids and women while making other gear heads grin in acknowledgment saying to themselves "yeah, I get it".

any ideas or changes? feel free to join in, pass the pipe, whatever.

Metalflake roll`n`pleat job

Cadillac Sombreros on the red-painted wheels w/widewhites mounted on them

Flamethrowers

Louvered hood

Run pipes up back of cab to and along the bottom of bed rail

Roll pans...nerfs?

Spotlamps

Im not big on the red scallops, but I'm diggin the rest of it. Instead of side pipes though, I would look into some kind of Zoomies stickin out the sides, kind-of like the Cherry Bomb Dodge.

Headers with exhuast cut outs for the LOUD!
Use Flourescent red and do the wheels too.

on my dd 06 chevy 1500 with a 5.3 i have full lengh headers off road y pipe ( no cats) and 3 inch piping with a flowmaster outlaw on it and it scare's the sh1t out of people

Those tri-rib Radirs on the Dodge would look great too, 8" and 10" wide 15's with a nice lip to give em the deep dish look.
Tuck & roll interior in black/red or black/white could work.
A blower on the Cad would be fun too.

Oh, a huffer sticking out the hood would definitely fit the bill. :O

You could also leave the inner fenders out and run some fenderwell headers.

The collector could exit just below the front fender, and just run 'er uncorked. Man, that's almost the same as drivin by and flipping off the cops.

I say go for it! I'm running straight pipes with a 454 and dropped about 4 inches. It drives some of the old timers in my car club crazy and some are in love with it.

I say to each his on. Only one rule though....please do not call it a "rat rod"

hey now I have a Harley and I can tell you right now damn near every drunk redneck driving by my house all hours of the night is louder than my Harley. I live out in the country and do not have emissions tests so you can pretty much run just straight pipes and no one will say anything.
