Blazer Width

Can someone give me an accurate width for a '69 Blazer? I've got a 16ft trailer that is 76 3/4" inches wide (inside diameter). That is 6'4 3/4 (if my math is correct.) I want to make sure that the Blazer will fit as I'm driving a few hours to pick it up. Just FYI: my trailer has siderails that are about 12" tall.

Re: Blazer Width

My 72 jimmy w/ 36x12.5x15 tires measure about 6'9 and my suburban w/ 255 65's w/ 8" ralleys is about 6'5. I guess it depends on the tire wheel combo but it looks like it will be close unless its all stock. Can you get somebody local to measure the track width?

Re: Blazer Width

I'd try to find a trailer at least 6'10" wide if not 7'. Or a flatbed with no guard rails. If it doesn't have skinny tires you're gonna have problems, I had to pull the hubs off the front of mine when I hauled it on a trailer with rails that I "think" was 6'7" wide. One front tire was leaking down and the hub was gonna hit the rail.

Thumbs up Re: Blazer Width

If you bolt the wheels outside in, no problem; you just can't turn. I assume it's a lo-boy w/short side rails? Of they're tall, you might have to climb out of the window...
