Newest member of the family....
Went over to stllookn's house today and came one with one great truck.
With some saddness stllookn sold his 1968 1 ton to me. This truck does drive like a dream. I now has gone from one good home to another. For those of you that missed stllookn's post it is a 1968 Chev 1 ton. 327 eng. with a 4 speed trans. The color is white with a very nice light tan interior with factory bucket seats. The milage is 63,500 miles on it. My plan's are to build and new flat bed for it and repaint the cab. Here is a picture of it.

I have towed cars and trucks many, many miles with a truck like that. It never failed that I would tow 8 or 9 a day, sometimes more. There is no limit to a F@rd breaking down!
I sure miss both of my one ton trucks and that will be a great little truck when your finnished.

Hey stllookn I did see you running behind me thats why I stepped on the gas. LOL!!
You need to recalibrate your tape measure. The wheel base is 157 inches not 133. But comming from an Engineer I guess it is close enough! LOL Thanks again for selling me this beauty. This is going to be fun.

That is the one I had all the fun with...boo hoo! I needed to lighten the project schedule and oldiron just flat talked me out of it when he came to look at my stepside. He promised not to part it too. I originally bought it for the cab and seats...but just could not bring myself to part it out. It was so nice and original that it really needed to stay that way. Even his wife told me has never sold a truck! She drives a GMC and a '56 wagon...how cool!
BTW...I never put my tape on it...just read the glove box...who'd thunk it was not correct!
