Question ? for you Blazer guys

I got in part of a blazer today. Usually there isn't much of a body left on these things, but this one has a pretty good windshield frame on it. It is worth saving. Where is the best place to cut these off at to make them good and useable for the next guy.
Also it appears that the rocker boxes are intact, not sure yet. I can't remember on those either, are they a completely bolted on, or are they welded somewhere too. Finding even a remains of a rocker box around here is rare. lol
Thanks guys, Bill

Hi Bill, The windshield frames are worth between $250-$350 if no rust. I've seen them cut off right down below the windshield and also cut off all the way down to the rockers Good rocker boxes are worth quite a bit also, sorry not much help for you.

Both are very worth while keeping. Just getting those rocker boxes off so that someone could get a good pattern off of them is worth something also. Just bought a windshield frame and it wasnt cheap.

Very good idea Wes. I know someone had them here one time but were quiet pricey. And ya know that takes the fun out of it LOL.

I have heard that someone was hand fabricating them with a break machine I think.... I also heard that they were about $500.00 each!! Ouch.... I would hope we could get them reproduced and resell for less than $200.00... Well thats my hope anyway. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Thumbs up

BILL -- I REMOVED A SET OF ROCKER BOXES OFF A 72 BLAZER. IT WAS A PRETTY GOOD CHORE, & TOOK ABOUT 4 HOURS. THEY ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY WELDED. I USED A SET OF TORCHES,A SAWZALL & A AIR HAMMER WITH A SHARP CHISEL BIT. I FIGURED IT WAS SOMETHING I WOULD DO IN ABOUT AN HOUR OR HOUR & A HALF, BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE ALOT MORE WORK THAN I THOUGHT. JOHN
