Front suspension question
Hi there,
A couple of quick questions -- can anyone tell me the normal ride height at the front of a '71 4 x 4? I noticed today that my front leaves are rubbing against my tie rod. Second, can anyone tell me if my '71 4 x 4 Blazer should have had a front torsion bar or steering stabilizer? The POS PO spent a good 18 months trashing her, so I have no idea. Lastly, can anyone show me a picture of the inside of a stock '72 door right under the vent window? I have '72 doors, and I can't figure out how the heck that screw is really supposed to work. I have to be missing something. Thanks, Brian |

Can't help much, but, both 72's I have, have steering stabilizers. The brackets are welded to the front of the drivers side axle tube. The other braket is adjustable on the tie rod.

On your 72 door question, I don't have a picture but, there should be a clip nut for the screw to screw into. The screw is intended to reenforce the door at that point as the older ones would open up.
