wheels making contact with lower A-Arm
i recently put front drop (truck)spindles on my 67. the rotors have been set up for 5 on 4 and 3/4 lugs.... i put some transam wheels(16in) and tires on it..
they do fine except for when i turn sharp.... i have trimmed the lower a-arm a bit... but they still make some contact..... i was wondering if anyone else has done this... maybe suggestions on what wheels might work and clear this. input please thanks

Re: wheels making contact with lower A-Arm
Most drop spindles have a threaded hole to place a grade 8 bolt in to make a stop. That's what I have done. Grade 8 bolt, jamb nut and lock washer.

Wheels w/more than 4" of back-spacing will require a moderate to significant amount of trimming. Those 16" T/A wheels likely fall into that category. I had 18x8" wheels w/5.25"bs & trimmed the lip all the way back to about 1" from the shock mount.
