Were all 67-72 factory tilts black??
Were all 67-72 factory tilts black, or were they available in colors that matched the rest of the truck?

Re: Were all 67-72 factory tilts black??
I believe it all 69-72 tilts, as tilts were not in 67 or 68s

Re: Were all 67-72 factory tilts black??
I`m curious where the`68 tilt info comes from,Andy.I`m not doubting you, well maybe I am,I just would like to know I`m right if I start telling that to people.Everything from several sources tells they began in`69.I guess it`s possible a`69 option slipped-in on a few late-68s.Please enlighten,oh master of GM truck info.

Re: Were all 67-72 factory tilts black??
When you state that all factory tilts are black; does that also mean that the steering wheels were black too? Or did they match the interior color? Also; how many different styles of steering wheels were there? Thanks Ron

Re: Were all 67-72 factory tilts black??
I *think* the wheel was black on all tilts, but some one who's seen more than me will have to varify this.
As for steering wheel types, there's the 67/68 wheel, and the 69 - 72 wheel. That's it. Everything I've read said 69 was the first year for tilt, but there's a coupl epplon here, and I also have a pic of a 68 SPID label showing tilt... I'll have to look for that later. |

I believe you.That is correct,black column/black wheel.The column and wheel always matches.
