Opinion needed.

Which looks better to you? Or do you have a better suggestion for a color scheme? As always any input is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Re: Opinion needed.

Thanks everyone. Only reason I tried the bed like that is because that's the stock location for a two tone paint job on the gmc's.

Re: Opinion needed.

Thanks 1966GMC- I put a 69 Camaro front clip under it with air bags. The rear is backhalved with a 4-link and coil overs. The stance is pretty low. I'm 6' tall and the top is under my chin. The paint is almost 8 years old and the colors are Audi Silver firemist and Chrysler Dark slate gray pearl.

Re: Opinion needed.

It might look neat if you painted the whole concave section silver. If you painted it silver from the V6 emblem all the way back and painted the top of the bed black again it would have a nice stripe that runs the length of the truck. You could even bring the stripe around to the front so that the area around the turn signals is silver, but the top of the hood is black.

Like this? The blue stripe was to be continued down the bed.

Re: Opinion needed.

top one for sure. And as far as the gmc paint scheme, that depends on how original your going with the whole truck.

Re: Opinion needed.

oh, and if you haven't checked the TOTM poll yet, be sure to do so!
QWYKTRUK is behind by one vote. It would be cool to see a 60-66 win for once.

Re: Opinion needed.

I voted qwyktruk too, very sweet truck
As far as original goes mines gonna be hot rodded so absolute original isn't an issue for me,I just like that paint scheme, was thinking double sided flame as the dividing line. That might look cool
PS Ha ha I'd put it on a chevy too LOL

Re: Opinion needed.

The unique to GMC factory paint scheme is hard to beat. Here is the way the factory painted them. Note top of roof is color of body. The ivory is inside the door window molding and top of bed.
