ID Chevy 350

OK, I have a chevy 350 or 327 and I can't find the any information with the Suffix numbers. Been to a lot of web pages to no avail. here they are:

casting number 3956618

Suffix number VO414 HN , This came off the pad on the passenger side of engine in front of cylinder head. any suggestions would be most helpful . It is going in my 70 short bed, thanks

Your casting number 3956618 is 1969 only, could b a 69 302 Z28(not likely) 69 327 or 69 350. and it came out of a full size car.
If the balancer is original to the engine, the 327 will be thinner than the 350. that is the next visual ID that I know of short of tearing it down far enough to see it's innards.

Do you have a pic of the crankshaft flange? 350's and 327's have a different shape.
