steering bearing
how do you remove the top bearing of a steering column.i have the wheel off and have un-screwed the 3 bolts on the turn signal plastic thing,but it wont come off i dont want to break the hazard button,so i figured someone will know.also is the bearing a specialty bearing or can i buy it at any bearing shop?

to remove the plastic turn signal assembly ,you have to "push" the flasherbutton "in" ,then un-screw the button to get it out of the column ,,,,jeff

steering assembly pic
theres 2 bearings,upper and lower,the upperbearing (#34) should come out with a little prying (per service manual),if your also gonna do the lower bearing(#18)i believe you have to dis-assemble the intermediate shaft and joint assembly,,,,heres a diagrahm,,,,jeff (i dont know if its a "common" bearing)
