68 c10 4x4 q's
Hey all, Im lookin at pickin up another truck and found a 68 k10 1/2ton 4x4 4-speed. before i go take a look im curious, he said it had a np205 would that mean it has a sm465 attatched or could it still be the 420?
also if im going to be using it as a daily driver/plow rig am i going to notice a difference between 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton, isnt it just burlier axles and springs? edited to fix my mistake! k10 not c10 Last edited by JibSheet; 12-31-2010 at 06:38 PM. |

'67 was the last year for the 420, the '68 has the 465.

I think the NP205's weren't used until 1970. Maybe someone can confirm

You are correct, 1970 was the first year for the 205. Before that it was the 420/221 combo
