mig to weld on frame
I need to weld my c-notch to my frame before I paint it. My question is, can I weld this with my northern tool 135 amp MIG welder, I have welded up to 1/4 inch plate with this, but don't know if it will be strong enough for a frame, I was also thinking of bolt it down also.. your opinions will be appreciated
I posted this thread on paint and body but I think I should of post here Posted via Mobile Device

Re: mig to weld on frame
I'll be the first to use a 110v welder for all sorts of stuff. Preheating, flux core wire and beveling can all help in getting the most out of them.
My Lincoln 145 is a handy little unit but only in an emergency would I weld a frame with it.
