235s on 2in lowered C-10?

I am lowering my 69 step about 2in---anyone have experience with running 235s in front? Will they rub or not?
I should add these will be on a stock ralleye truck rim 8in

Probably not, but what is the series? 75's are tall, 35's are short...

Re: 235s on 2in lowered C-10?

That will put your tire diameter at just under 29" you should be fine, I have a 4" drop in the front with a 28" tire.

Good luck, Rg

Re: 235s on 2in lowered C-10?

Correct me if im wrong, but factory diameter was 27.1" and had lots of roomin the wheels
if you have a 2 in drop your fine
it'll take alot more that that for them to rub

Re: 235s on 2in lowered C-10?

I will try and post a pic or two of my 69. I put 2 1/2"
drop spindles on it with a set of 6 lug rallys 15x8.
255/70r15 did not rub. put 225/70r15 on it, but I think I like the other tires on it better. I will go take a oic or two and try and post them in a few

I personally think that when I did the disc brakes it has pushed the wheels out from under the fenders. I am planning to send the wheels to TRUE DESIGN WHEEL CO. have them change the offset by an inch. I think I will like that better. Had them do a couple of set of Buick Grand National wheels, and they truned out sweet!!

I run 255R60x17 with 2 1/2" drop spindles with 2" lowering springs and have no problems.

Re: 235s on 2in lowered C-10?

BTW the disc brake swap does move the wheel out about an inch or so. I ran 275/60/15 on all four with a 2-4 drop and had no issues with a 15X8 rim. I was looking for a decent 17" tire size for my 2wd Blazer. I put 3/4 ton suspension under it and bought hummer 2 8-lug 17x8.5" wheels for it and was wondering how much tire I could fit under it. Was looking at a 275/60/17 but it was like 30-31"s tall! How tall are the 255/60/17s??

Re: 235s on 2in lowered C-10?

I run 275/60r15s on 15x10 wheels on all 4 corners. This is with a 3" drop spring and disc brake conversion. No rubbing at all ever.
