I have a small tailgate band I bought to put on a 77 i had but it must of had a newer tailgate because this wouldnt fit. Its in very good shape. Has one scratch and some green overspray on the edge. Should clean and polish out nice. Its in very good shape IMO. I want $80 bux and I dont want to ship because the last time I shipped trim it got mangled and bent and it would be a shame for this to happen to this band. So if nobody local wants it I will save it till I find a older tailgate for one of my projects. I will take $70 plus shipping. I would rather not ship but if someone want I will. I have had bad luck shipping and would hate to see it trashed. BUT I will pack it well.

your missing one of the mouting tabs for it. I thought it was a gmc one i was going to jump on it. Looking hard for a gmc one.

good eye I didnt notice it was gone.. It had all of them when I got it I must of lost it... I will look around for it.

ahhaha yea i collect these things. I have the chevy one on my truck now need to get a gmc one, have two extra chevy ones including one off of a 77 with yellow trim..

so this would not fit on a newer band? I seriously am interested, but I'd like measurements on the height and width of it...If it'll fit, I'll take it...you can bring it with you when you come get Randy's motors and stuff...

it will not fit on the newer tailgates. and wont fit on your diesel unless you change to the older tailgate. I found alot of info on it using the search dealy as far as what years and such. Never the less let me know if you want it and I can bring it with when I go get the motors. its 4 wide and 62 long.

Was out in the sticks looking at a guys place for parts. He has 2 or 3 gmc small tailgate bands in varying condition. I need to go back for some parts anyway, I can look at them and see what kind of shape they are in. What is the easiest way to get them off without damaging them?

If you need to ship it, get a piece of PVC pipe. I had some side molding shipped that way and it works great.

GOOD IDEA!. I may be asking a bit much for this piece I dont know., One of the nicest ones i've found tho. NEW PICS. I spent less then 2 minutes and cleaned it up a bit. Got a buncha crud off it to. LOOKS even better in my opinion. Not dull like alot of them. BTW, my foot is not for sale....
