67 C20 2WD Steering gear box

Looking to replace the steering gear box on my 67 and am having zero luck finding new or remanufactured ones. I would love to find a quick ratio box but at this point I will take what I can get. Does anyone know if there is anyone selling them? Or any alternatives? I would rather not notch my frame. If worse comes to worse I will have mine rebuilt.

Re: 67 C20 2WD Steering gear box

Are the C10 and the C20's different?

I believe c10 and c20 boxes are the same. I'm wanting a quick ratio box for my 69 c20 as well so I,m researching at the moment. I'll post again if I find anything out.

Sorry for the double post. Don't know what happened there.
Thanks Jim.
I'm based in Australia, so anything that requires a core deposit is kinda tough. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of c20's over here so there isn't much support or knowledge about them locally.
I talked to cpp about one of their new ones, but they wouldn't guarantee it would fit a c20. After searching the forum I think later model boxes fit the earlier trucks, possibly these have a faster ratio.
Good contact for the op.

Re: 67 C20 2WD Steering gear box

I thought '67 had manual boxes with a power slave for assist. No bump in the frame for a integrated power steering box.

Not all of them , some had conventional power steering , with a power box ,, and some 68s still had power assist , with the rams

I don't think any of the '67's had a conventional power steering box. '68 was the transition year. My unmolested '68 CST has the ram assist power steering.
