Rate my truck, add five pics of your truck.

Add five pics of your truck, and then anyone rate on a scale of 1-10 and tag that member. You can also add what you like and what you might do different if it was your truck, all in good fun so don't be mean just honest.
We all love our trucks and work hard to keep them going, time to show off your hard work no matter is its a rust bucket or all stock to full custom.

I'll go first, 72 with 70 front clip.

8 For sure. Dig the stance, wheels and the bed wood really pops. Can never go wrong with houndstooth interior. Just a sweet little step side. Only thing I would personally change if it was mine is putting a little more bright work on the outside.

My 68, fully built at home. Just swapped in a 327 sbc and a TKX this winter. Did the sport buckets and console last year. Only real thing I wish I had done while redoing it was move the motor to the V8 location on the frame instead of leaving it in the I6 location, would have game the option to do a big block later one with a little less work.

Wow, looks like it just drove off the assemble line. Easy 9, the red wall tires are not for me but do pop. Great truck!

Bridge of the gods. I like to stay at the inn and watch river and rail trafic from the balcony.

Truck looks good as well.

it's kind of an awful game, but I'll play That 68 is a 10 man.

Here's my 71 Deluxe, 402, A/C. I still have to slap on the front bumper. Pretty much all original parts, even most of the bolts restored. Dropped it though, 4/2.5". Levels the truck FWW.

Another pristine truck, very nice. I'll give it another 9 just because its unfinished. My 72 emergency brake lines don't route like yours, surprised one year difference they changed it to the side of the frame instead of under.

Very nice, I rate them all a 10.

Here is my 72 Cheynne Super C20, 511 big block, automatic w/ gear vendors, Dana 60 4.10 w/ locker, 30-gal fuel tank, AC. It's so much fun to drive. I have owned it since 94.

Love this truck, activates memories of the 72 my grandpa had. It was a C10, but same otherwise. Factory big block cheyenne super with the blue houdstooth. Its why I started looking for a 71/72 at first until my 68 popped up for sale.

Wow that is a pure beast, so nice. I was expecting more of the average fixer uppers but you guys have been keeping these trucks in the original plastic packaging.

I'm going with a 9, I would do something different with the underside of your hood. Really having to search to find anything I would change since its so clean.

Might be because my SWB has leaf springs. The original owner ordered a on a chassis. Inline Tube had never seen the original rear PB cables. But if I remember right, the confusion was at the brake plate. They built new ones for me, however; nice work.

Whew, I'd give all trucks thus far a 10 and leave my ugly duckling out of this competition!

Post some pics, looks like a step side waiting to be seen. We all stated as works in progress at once point.

OK, you asked so I will play. A few photos, delivery day, progress, and current state.

Wife purchased this truck for me as an anniversary present back in 2019. It has been a fun (for the most part) project to this point. The entire suspension/steering/brake system has been replaced. Static drop 2.5/4, power disc brakes up front, and most recent, power steering add. Tank relocated to the rear and a touch of work out back. Since these photos were taken the tail lights have been moved to the old backup light location.

Still motivating with the original 283, 3OT, and 3.73 rear gear. That may start to change this fall as the engine needs a refresh/replacement and that could lead to all sorts of bad decisions.

Just put me in the ugly duckling category.

Oh yeah I love it, bed wood is looking great! Id say that's a good 8 right there, I see you went to all new bed route like I did.
To me it was much less work than finding an old take off bed and repairing it, when I bought mine it had a 90's step side bed that had to go.

I'm right there with you on the bad decisions, and they seem to never end.
Bring that rig out to some cruise in's, bet it gets just as many looking it over as the fully restored rigs.

Agree.

One of the beauties of these trucks is it doesn't matter the condition, people like em. What's not to like.

Thank you. At some point it will be all one color. To this point other than mounting the tires, front end alignment, and windshield install I have done all the work myself. It’s been enjoyable, frustrating, rewarding, you name it. But, the wife and I have driven this truck over 3000 miles in the past few years. Get a lot of waves, and more than a few compliments. The smiles per mile is worth it.

I agree with the above. I would not want to park next to any of them.

Yeah I don't see anything I would change, that's a 10 in my books for sure.
Maybe a 9.5 since I have two sons and need a bench so those seats would have to go.
A Snowden is on my list for the future mods.

Re: Rate my truck, add five pics of your truck.

Just an FYI on my 68 hood. It was nice but the hood did vibrate going down the road. Bugged the snot out of me. So I had some DEI trans tunnel insulation left over from project. It's about a 3/16" to 1/4" thick. Sticky on one side. Fiberglass insulation in the middle. Then kind of a waffle stainless outside. So I used that between the hood braces and the hood. Then when I was happy with the thickness I painted the edges black so you couldn't see it.
Oh and bed pic.
Thanks for all the kind words.

Very nice, after seeing yours I went and did some searching and most of the shops like Brothers and summit sell hood brace padding that wedges in between the brace and hood. I'm heading from NC to Northern NH in a week so I'll worry about it when we get back in a few weeks. At least I know there are some easy options that are not expensive to run just for now.
