My ghetto cheapo tach printed circuit
I didn't want to fork out the $60 for a tach printed circuit, so I tried this. I tested it with the ohm meter before I put it back together and everything seems great. It looks horrible, but it works. I don't think it would have worked without the "paint on" electrical tape. That really helped hold the circuit together, and kept everything from bridging. You have to have a hot soldering iron too, you have to heat it up quick, solder it, and get the heat off, otherwise the heat travels down the circuit and melts it all to heck.

I hear banjos dueling in the background.
if its any consolation my older aftermarket tach fits without having to cut the board. (barely) but all in all I congratulate you on your ingenuity.
