I prefer the 67&70 because they were my first two trucks. If I was just starting,I would go with 71-72.They already have the 5-lug wheels and disk brakes

I am partial to the 69/70 years of both the GMC/Chevy. Guyess the 70 should get top billing since that's what I got.
Just prefer the looks slightly more than the others.

Because they all came with front disc brakes and have the best look to me.

Get whichever one you like the best. But if you want to get the one that I like best, get a big window '67, or better yet a '72 with the markers shaved and a 67-8 front end............JB

If you're still not convinced here's one more vote for '71. First year disc's and testosterone inspired big ol' square front end... but that's just my opinion ... what's wrong with side markers anyway?

I dont know how it is where you live, but out here you always see the 67-68 or 71-72 but the 69-70's are just somthing you dont see alot of plus if you start talking to girls & tell them you have a 69, they say really WOW thats a good number..... then you say wanna ride..... I dont know I think there cool but it comes down to what strikes you as cool do you like the sloped hoods of 67-68.....that mean in your face look of the 69-70 or do you like that I'm screaming to get shaved look of the 71-72......go to the pics at the begining of this site look around & then you will know what to get.
Diggin 69

68
If I had it to do over, I'd get a 68. I have a 67 with the small window, and the window sucks. The hoods and grills give the clean roundedness of a newer model, but are also VERY classic looking.

1971
It was the first year for disk brakes, no plastic door panels, the rearview mirror wasn't glued to the glass and wider rear axles.

67 thru 72, in that order. Love the no side-markers on the 67 but it would have to be a big window cab. I would take a 68 just as fast because they, like the 67's, have the best looking front ends. 71-72 would be my least favorite, not because they don't look good (they are awesome), but just because I see more of them than any other year.

People think the 67 small window is a rare truck.
HOWEVER. I would love to own a 67 SWB with a factory BIG BACK WINDOW. Now THAT, is a rare truck. I would love to own one! Darren

The 67-68 front end is by far the best looking but the 72's are more avalible and 5 hole wheels with front discs are a no brainer.
You can always change the front clip.

67--- best front end
get a 67 best front end and no side marker then put the disc brakes on it. or buy a 71-72 and put a 67 front end on.
