Re: 72 swb cheyenne bigblock header and exhaust choivce?

Hi,

I'm in the process of putting on a set of Doug's Headers Tri Y's with the magma flow. So far fitment seems ok in mock up. Had some issues with the brake lines coming into close contact with the headers. I'll post on how it works out in a few days.

Hi Andy,

Here are some pictures of the headers i've installed. The frame is a '69 SWB and it's a 402 engine with a 700R4. The headers are Doug's Headers. Planning on putting the Magnaflow system on.

Re: 72 swb cheyenne bigblock header and exhaust choivce?

how low do they hang under the frame? I have long tubes on my 454 in my 72 swb. They set way to low for when I bag my truck and I know Ill have to change my headers and exaust routing.

So far it looks like the headers are about 3.75 inches from the bottom of the frame rail to the bottom of the flange. The rest of the exhaust is not installed yet, but i doubt it'll be much lower.
