1-1/2 inch fuel opening on blazer tank.
I bought a blazer tank from Southern Ky Classics and so far its been a "youre on you're own kinda deal. First of all the tank has a 1-1/2 inch fuel opening . Now what the crap is that all about ? How the heck do you get fuel not to back up and burp through such a small hole ? No instructions - youre just on your own. I know there is a crap load of threads on moving tanks , believe me I've seen them all . Is there anyone on here that bought this tank and what did you do as far as going from a 1-1/2 inch opening from the tank to a 2 inch opening on your s-10 filler neck ? Can they stretch a 1-1/2 pipe to a 2 inch ?

Re: 1-1/2 inch fuel opening on blazer tank.
No pic of the tank, no part number or link to show what your working with..
It should hopefully have a second opening for a burp hose, most late model fillers off of chevy blazers, S-10's and the like have a burp hose attached to the filler neck that runs to the tank. The pic is from an S-10.

Re: 1-1/2 inch fuel opening on blazer tank.
This is my tank from SoKy Classics. It has 2 vent openings. 1 on each side, I used a hose to vent inside the bedside with a filter installed. Just make sure it is higher than your fill opening. I am placing my fill inside the bed on driver's side rear next to the pocket stake. A hose can reduce from 2"-1 1/2 or a muffler shop can help you with a metal pipe. Remember these trucks didn't have a rear tank and so far I haven't seen a real plug and play unit. You're kinda stuck with what's available. Hope this pic helps. When you click on it you can magnify it. I took it with my phone.

Re: 1-1/2 inch fuel opening on blazer tank.
my tank is the plastic one. The inlet hole is 1-1/2 inch round. So basically ill be going from a 2'' filler neck to a 1 1/2 in hole. Is that black flexible hose a fuel hose ? and is your inlet fuel hole in the tank a 1 1/2 inch round ?

Yes it is a flexible gas hose. It is used on a lot of boat applications. I think it was 1 1/2" but I can't be positive. It's all together now so I can't get you a measurement.
