aftermarket seatbelts? which ones to buy?
I need some seatbelts for my truck, will probally stay with the 2 point set up, of course I can't find any in the junk yards.. So i guess i need to get some aftermarket ones. I have a 70' with the bright blue interior. Who has bought aftermarket seatbelts? which ones are the best? has anyone bought any blue ones that match? need some help with a decision.
thanks, tommie |

Several sets on Evil bay right now, and lots of Vendors here who have them from time to time, JMHO but aftermarkets are not as nice, and they don't look like the OE ones very much at all.

www.julianos.com has good prices and have a nice mounting plate kit as well. I bought mine off ebay from "fatrodder" and am very happy with them.

Re: aftermarket seatbelts? which ones to buy?
Tommie- my lap belts are not the Juliano's kit. I should have went that route. I made my brackets with angle brackets from Home Depot and they look great. I will post pics this week. Julianos also sells the 3 point kits.

Re: aftermarket seatbelts? which ones to buy?
Tommie- this first 2 pics are my dads truck and shows how I bent the bracket to conform to the shape of the floor. (The purpose of this bracket is to raise the height of the belt and move it forward so it will fit up thru the seat). The second pic shows what it looks like resting on the seat. The third pic is my truck and shows what it looks like bolted to the floor. I wish I would have taken a pic showing how it's mounted to the back of the retractor. I basically slid the bracket up inside the retractor and bolted it right thru the steel plate that is in the retractor. I had to cut the bracket on an angle so I could rotate it forward. My truck has the tilt seat so I mounted it with the chrome buckle on the inside. My dad's truck is the first 2 pics and his seat does not flip forward so I mounted his next to the seat adjuster. The floor mounted bolts are tucked up under the seat pretty good and hidden. Like I said earlier, Julianos has the 2 point kit with hardware for $55 or the 3 point kit for $90. You will still have to make a rear floor bracket similar to the one in my first pic because the female portion is only about 13" long and won't fit up thru the seat. Hope this helps!
