60-66 gauge cluster restoration
I have this add on the 67-72 parts board but will also do 60-66 gauge clusters. The price for a standard restoration is $300.00 labor for a 60-66 cluster. Please contact me for more information on your specific needs.
The price does not include any parts that need to be replaced such as gauges, lens, etc. I am currently working on a 64-66 cluster restoration and will add photos of the process in the near future. Please refer to the link for my add on the 67-72 board. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=604141 Also you can send email to tbonegarris@yahoo.com or support@classicgaugeandcluster.com Thank you for your interest, Tom

I start with your complete cluster. I check the gauges (including speedometer for there operation and replace any that need replacing. I completely disassemble the cluster right down to the last screw. I bead blast all the tin work and the bezel. I paint the tin work inside and out. I also remove the small tin work from the gauges and bead blast and paint inside and out. I paint all the needles on the gauges and speedometer. I reface the odometer numbers and reset to zero miles or what ever miles the customer request. I reface the gauges and speedometer with a decal kit. I wet sand and polish the original lens. I prefer to use the original lens over reproduction lens. If a good original is not available, I will use a reproduction. I strip and paint the gauge face plate satin black as original. I paint the bezel any color the customer wants. I will also polish a bezel for an additional fee. I assemble the cluster completely and use new nuts. I also clean and polish the terminals on the back of the gauges. I un-tape clean, inspect, repair and re tape the light harness. I replace all of the light bulbs with the stock type or LED's for slightly more money. I pay for any gauge or lens that needs replacing. It is part of the price. I pay for return shipping back to the customer. This is usually around $20.00 Finally, I put my passion and love for restoring these into every one I do. Everyone is a little different than the last. In my opinion, these look better on the back side than they do the front and it is a shame that the back of the cluster is never seen when it is installed in the truck. Thank you for the question Have a great holiday, Tom

. Might I suggest you have some sort of cost figured for replacing missing parts or gauges.

If I had to place a dollar amount on a working gauge, it would be $20.00 - $25.00. That would be the same for a good usable lens. Speedometers are a little more. I recently sold a speedometer for a 62 for $50.00. It was a nice clean working part and the customer was happy with that price. I appreciate all of the feedback and comments. It helps me provide a better service to my customers. Thank you, Tom

Re: 60-66 gauge cluster restoration
The clock is for 1955/1956 Chevy passenger cars and 1958 - 1962 Corvettes. You can buy restored ones on ebay for about $120.00
Hope this helps. tom

Re: 60-66 gauge cluster restoration
Thanks Tom,
I have a extra cluster plus the original one that's in the truck now to work with. I'm changing the clock in the cluster below, just never really liked it for some reason. One thing though is after the change I won't have all orange needles. I just love the styling in the belair/corvette clock. I'm guessing you removed the silver round Bessel from the clock since I can't see it there ?

Re: 60-66 gauge cluster restoration
The tach is amazing and looks so close to original well done!!!! With this restoration the bat, oil, and heat will all work ? I have a second gas tank any possibility instead of a clock I can use another gas gauge in that space. I hate my aftermarket gauges

Re: 60-66 gauge cluster restoration
Here is one for a customer I just finished. Just the basic non gauge cluster but still just as fun to build.
Sorry about the dust in the photos. The flash on my camera really brings it out. I appreciate everyone that has had me build a cluster for them. Thank you, Tom

Re: 60-66 gauge cluster restoration
Here we have yet another customer build. This one is going in a 1960. Like the 64-66 above, it is also a basic gauge cluster but still looks great restored.
Thank you for looking Tom

Re: 60-66 gauge cluster restoration
Here we have yet another customer build for a 1965. This one has a gloss black bezel per the customer request and has the same quality of workmanship as all of my cluster builds.
Thank you for looking, Tom
