go the carpet and heat/sound barrier installed in the 72

So I finally got around to installing the carpet. I figured I better get to it since my son looses the permit and gets his real drivers lic in 3 weeks. We have been slowly making progress with the truck getting it ready for him to drive it daily to high school. So my father inlaw was in Reno Nevada last week and went by Summit Racings store and got me the carpet for $135. I then went to home depot and purchased two rolls of the duct self adhesive foam insulate and a roll of aluminum foil seam tape. Two rolls at $18 each and $8 for the tape. So call it $50 bucks for it all. We have been driving the truck for a few months with no carpet and just a rubber mat... so you can inmagine the heat and sound inside the truck...very loud

Got up this morning, took the seat out and cleaned and prepared the floor. layed down the duct wrap, which was easy to cut and easy to work with. Used the aluminum tape to seal the seams and then layed the carpet. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think the seat we used from a 87 chevy truck and now the carpet has finally given us the feeling it is coming together.

Now the boy says, "time for the amp and stereo dad with some subs please, so I can slap some music at school". What the hell is slap some music....gawd 16 years old...

guess its a stereo system install soon.
