Got my steelies on!

Got the rims painted up during the week and got the tires installed tonight. Painted the hubcaps tonight. Gotta work on the stance a bit, but its exactly the look I was going for!

Re: Got my steelies on!

Looks great. I've got white dog dish caps, going to get a set of steelies- not rallies- and shoot 'me white like the original 6-bolt wheels.

Nice truck, the subtle, plain-but-sanitary look is what I'm going for, also.

Re: Got my steelies on!

Dude, looks really nice! White would have been too much, where the truck is all white already. You woulda had kids running after you in the summer time, thinking it was the ice cream truck lmfao. The red on the caps looks great too. Did you shoot them with a couple coats of clear coat, so they stay looking good?

Not yet. The paint isn't really cured, but i couldn't wait to put them on.

I thought the same, white wheels would be just too much white.

BTW----you gave me the idea!

Awesome. Glad I could give you an idea

Keep in mind that where the paint isn't fully cured, and yet you put the caps on, they'll be like cemented on. You'll need to use one of those rubber padded hub cap removal tools with a rag to protect the wheels. I bought one at harbor freight, and keep it under the seat in case I get a flat and need to remove one on the caps

The paint on the wheels is cured, the hubcaps are not.

I saw that tool at HF, I need to get one. Right now I don't have a spare or a jack either.....

Check out my thread about the stock jack I found. There's a nice guy on there that has both a stock jack and stock crank. He gave me the crank and I just paid shipping, and he said he was willing to give the jack to someone else. Not sure if anyone asked him for it or not, but it's worth a shot to ask him

Re: Got my steelies on!

I think they look really good, and the red looks really good as well. I have a white truck, and a set of white steelies waiting to go on, hopefully they dont look too bad being white on white, we will see once I get around to it.

Very nicely done. It's the little things like the chrome valve stems that show your attention to detail.

That's a homerun. I'll be following your lead on this one....my truck is white as well. The white letters on the tires top if off perfectly!
