extended cab '70

anyone ever convert their '70 LWB to an extended cab SWB? It would be a mad difficult job IMHO, but has it been done? The extra room would be nice.

Re: extended cab '70

there's been quite a few done. From what I've seen, it is hard to make them look 'right'. Trying to get the side rear windows to look the right vintage, but not look hokey... is a tough job. Seems most of them put a later model window in there and they look so out of place.

Here's my '68, it was a TON of work but well worth it. I left it a long box as the big plan is too upgrade to a fifth wheel RV sometime soon.

Re: extended cab '70

Ive seen a few but I have no pics. Its an interesting idea, and my 2008 silverado ext. cab is so nice for reclining seats and extra storage. I dont have the skills to attempt it, but the rear suicide doors on the '08 would be very nice on a '67-'72. Plus, I think the idea of no windows on the rear doors/cab is a possibility. It would have a "short panel truck" kind of look. Now, this would all be even harder to do than doing a crew cab so it might not be practical, but it'd be pretty unique.

Re: extended cab '70

Take a look at 67 C30's ext. cab. IMO he got the rounded rear window lookin good with a squared door.
