I have a 69 with no headliner and was wanting to put 1 in,I got some thin carpet and was wondering if I should just glue to the metal roof. What other options are there I have an extra headliner(wrong color) with trim ring but no holes to mount the ring.So I was throwing in the idea of the carpet idea,Any suggestion's??

Dye the headliner, glue it to the roof, and drill holes for the trim.

Dye the headliner, glue it to the roof without the trim.
