C60 Pickup Project (need advising)

I have this 67 C60 Im dropping in a 5 speed tranny and a 6.2 Diesel that I have built. however I do not know a lot about body work. I am a welder so I believe I may be ready to under take this project just unsure how to do it...

First after mocking up the bed I was going to chop the frame... then after seeing how sweet it is I now deff want a four door or longer cab of some sort..

any ideas on how to approach this or where to find what i need to undertake this project?

Re: C60 Pickup Project (need advising)

This build link should give you an idea of how to go about making your truck a 4 door. There are other ways to go about it,but IMHO this looks the best when doing a crewcab/4 door type truck.Top notch build.Hope this helps Be good

Oh Yea WELCOME to the forum!!!

Have fun with it and When you need some advise on your bodywork, look me up I am usally able to come up with something or can direct you to someone else. I have a body shop and rebuild wrecks and other late model trucks and cars suv. I also do some resterations so holler if'n ya'll need some help. What is your bed off of? Update

I'm uploading a pic later of my latest mock up... You guys gotta see this thing, hahah. It's gonna be the goofiest / awesomest truck in this forum... I have a lot of work ahead of me but it will be worth it. I'll upload tonight! Keep in mind there will be modification to lift suspension it will have off road semi wheels and rims. I will also have to do some body lift and drop in places to get this stuff lined up,

Gentlemen, I have a vision and it's jet black with huge chrome pipes.

Seriously check back tonight... I'm going on a date now

Re: C60 Pickup Project (need advising)

I love the blue on the truck. Not sure if that is original paint but I would like to paint my 67 a satin dark blue like how yours looks.

It sure looks like the 508 Dark Blue Ditzler 12409 color which would be correct on a '67.

I'd really love to see it since it is close by. Maybe I'll get a chance to see it at the car show they have at the war plane museum.

Mine is the 503 right now but dark blue is my favort color. Still have a ways to go till I make my final choice. But back to the main topic here. Those big boy trucks are AWESOME.

Re: C60 Pickup Project (need advising)

Why not use the stepside fenders from 67-72 pickup grafted to outside of fleetside bed?
