i think i fixted it.

i think i've taken care of the cooling troubles.
i took my water pump off, checked it, it was good changed the gaskets cause they were leaking. changed my tstat to the 180 highflow that i originally tried to run. changed my temp sensor for the gauge and fans(the fans now kick on at 200 instead of 180)
no matter how hard i pounded on it, the water pump wouldnt leak and the guage is reading correctly finally.

oh, and i washed the truck today

So if your water pump isn't making noise don't replace it? My seal is leaking around the water pump too. If I'm taking it off should I go new or reuse with new seal? Glad you got it worked out..it was looking like great weather out there on the weather channel.
