K/5 question
Does anybody know what or where the K/5 on our rigs came from. I have searched but can't find anything about it....just curious

The K stands for 4wd. I believe the 5 is because it was smaller than a 1/2 ton truck which they designated as 10 (K10 = 1/2 ton 4wd, K20= 3/4 ton 4wd, K30=1 ton 4wd).
Most 2wd trucks got the preface "C". For some reason, they did not do that on the Blazer. Probably because the 2wd production numbers were so low.

I believe that it may be an abbreviation for KA105 which was the chassis designation for the Blazer. But truthfully it doesn't mean anything, it is just part of the model name.
