Could be obvious, but I've got a question...
I have a 1964 GMC pickup, and I'm gonna probably get new, brighter headlights. But, I've been wondering, are all 4 bulbs the same, and it's just the amount of power going to them that makes the brights...brighter? Or are the bright bulbs different?

The outer ones do both regular and bright (3pins), the inners are bright only (2 pins).

make sure if you upgrade to brighter lights , you also upgrade to relays ,you will make them even brighter..

Here’s one thread on headlight upgrades, there are several available. For a two headlamp truck just ignore the two inboard headlamps. Everything else is the same:
